"T" is for Tasmanian Devils

Tasmanian Devils, as the name of this wild animal suggests, live on the Australian island of Tasmania.  In fact, it is the only place in the world they inhabit.  So if you want to encounter one, then you should make a trip to the Australian Island state of Tasmania.

The Tasmanian Devils are omnivorous.  This means they eat meat, dead, or alive.  They hunt prey and scavenge carrion (dead animals lying rotting in the jungle, or along roadsides).  These devils also are known to break into peoples' homes and literally raid the kitchen, eating household products as well.

What does a Tasmanian Devil look like ?  Well, here's a description for you: It is characterized by its stocky and muscular build, black fur, pungent odour (terrible smell), extremely loud and scary disturbing screech.  It has a keen sense of smell and is very ferocious (violent) especially when it is in a fight with another Devil.

They are about the size of a small dog, but have very large heads and muscular necks which allow them to have an incredibly strong bite.  They can slso climb trees and swim across rivers.                                              (V.C)
