Throughout human history, people have tried to predict the future.
The ancient Greeks, Romans, Mayans and others all used future predictions to a large extent in their cultures...
Perhaps the most famous person to predict the future was Nostradamus. Some believe that he accurately predicted future events even into our modern time.
Others however have noted that because he wrote his predictions in the form of poetry called quatrains and used an old-style form of French, his preditions are very much open to interpretation...
Nowadays, whenever a new year rolls around, the media especially tabloid papers and magazines feature a lot of predictions for the coming year.
