Let's talk about it ! (44)

Let's talk about art !

I really love art.  Thirty thousand, or more, years ago, humans had already begun to paint hunting scenes on the walls of caves in France.  They painted other images too.

Humans have a desire to leave some record of what they saw, or did, or how they felt, for future generations.  Perhaps the earliest form of human expression is to be found in art.

Ancient clay statues, stone-carvings, and other artistic expressions, such as, jewelry, cloth, weavings and super-stone strctures like the pyramids and Stonehenge are still with us today.  Art is a record of human existence.

Without art, there would be no written languages, The Sumerians, the Egyptians, the Chinese used pictographs as the foundation of written expression.

Over the course of history, art has played a major role in the development of the human mind, reaching greater and greater heights of consciousness, stretching the imagination like an endless canvasl

DaVinci, Van Gough, Chagall, Degas, Dali, etc.  There are artists which have now become household words.

Who is your favorite artist ?  What kind of art do you like ?  Talk about it !                              (V.C)
