How do you feel ? (1)

"How are you ? " is one of the most common questions we ask one another.
The answer to this question often lets the other person know how we feel at that time.  For example, if we're happy, we can say "I'm fine", "I'm great", or "I'm good", "Fantastic!", etc.
On the other hand, if we are sad we might say "Not so good", "I'm having a bad day", "Terrible", "I'm feeling blue" and so on.

By the way, for many years the color blue has been connected to sadness in the English language.  This is why the music form "The blues" was originally full of songs about hard times and unhappiness.
If we feel sickness, we might say "I feel awful(terrible, rotten, lousy, and so on, all negative words)"  Nowadays a person might also say, "I feel like a crap", crap being a more mild form of "shit" and like meaning similar to... (G.K)
