My name is Conrad Benjamin, and I’m thrilled to introduce myself as your English instructor. Originally from Nottingham, England, I grew up in a vibrant city known for its rich history and culture. I hold a BA in International Relations and Mandarin Chinese from the University of London, where I also had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in Beijing, achieving an upper-intermediate to advanced level in Mandarin. Since moving to Japan in 2022, I’ve fallen in love with Tokyo’s unique blend of tranquility, safety, modernity, and vibrancy—a rare combination for a global capital. I’m deeply inspired by Japanese culture and hope to make Tokyo my long-term home. In my free time, I study Japanese, often diving into topics like health and fitness videos or car magazines in Japanese to fuel both my language skills and personal interests. Teaching English is my passion, and I bring over three years of experience in Japan, delivering engaging lessons in general English, exam preparation (IELTS), travel English, study abroad preparation, and project-based English for employment or internships. I’m also well-versed in business English, covering skills like presentations, meetings, negotiations, and business travel arrangements. My approach is student-centered, fostering confidence and practical communication in a supportive environment. Outside the classroom, I enjoy lifting weights at the gym and exploring my passion for Japanese sports cars through reading and research.
